I've given Keenan a sample of some table food and it unleashed his true beast! Saturday morning I let him have some pancakes (no butter or syrup) and diced bananas and he was in heaven. He was screaming after every bite as if it was the first time we've fed him in months. He also had some diced pineapple and some bread on Sunday (oh and some cake - bad mommy!!!). Now every time he sees food or a cup he starts grabbing for it yelling "MMMMMMMMM". We always tell him "mmmmmm" when he's eating his baby food and I guess he figured out that means food! He definitely has second child syndrome because I would have never given Cayden bites of cake at 9 months let alone 7!
He's also going through some separation anxiety lately. He'll be playing by himself just fine but as soon as I try to leave a room or walk into a room he starts crying "Mama". I remember Cayden going through this right around 7 months too. I'm so proud of him though! I was really wondering what his verbal skills would be like and when he'd start connecting words. Cayden started talking really early but they "say" girls do it before boys. He started babbling just as early as she did and it turns out he's making connections just as fast. He will yell for his "baba" as soon as he sees it and he now calls for me "mama" when he sees me the past few days. By 9 months Cayden used the words Momma, Dada, cat, lights, and eyes correctly and constantly. Looks like Keenan will be doing the same!

7 month's old already?!
Keenan turned 7 months today. I can't believe it! He had his well visit at the doctor. He is 19 lbs 6 ozs and 28 inches. Such a big boy. We went to Sears a few days ago to get pictures done of Keenan by himself, Cayden by herself and the kids together. It was a nightmare. The kids were fine but Sears is horrible. I will have to go to Picture People to get them done together and for Cayden's because I didn't like Sears at all. Only Keenan's came out great.

Keenan's Christening

Keenan had his Christening yesterday. We asked my sister Mary to be his godmother and Eric's brother in law George to be his godfather. Keenan was a VERY noisy boy during the ceremony. He was babbling, squealing and screeching nonstop. He was having a good ole' time blowing raspberries including doing it right by the priests face as he blessed him. Crazy child. Click on the link below then click "view pictures", then "slideshow",to view his christening pictures in my shutterfly album.

New happenings
Keenan has decided to start sleeping on his belly. The problem is that lazy boy STILL is not rolling from belly to back so he rolls immediately on his belly when playing and then gets pissed when he cannot get back the other way. He is desperate to crawl but of course isn't even close to getting up on his hands and knees. I'm betting he'll start with the army crawl in the next month or so. He is sitting up like a champ and being able to play that way the past few weeks is like a whole new world for him. Last night I pureed some new foods for him to try so that should be interesting. So far he hates eggplant (but I still have more frozen so I'll try again in a few months) but he loves asparagus, cantaloupe, and avocado. Last night I cooked up some pasta and some brown rice and pureed that with some different foods so he'll get to try zucchini mixed with rice and carrots/peas/pasta mixed together. Fun! This morning he had pears/raspberries/rice and loved it!

Outside play
It was such a gorgeous day today. In the low 70's and sunny as can be. We took advantage of the weather and played outside!
Keenan sporting a muffin top

Yep, the thumb tastes just as good outside!![]()
Cayden finally stops digging in the dirt long enough for me to take a picture.
