Sit in your boucer and look dashingly handsome so mommy will start to think about what she can do for you. This will result in her getting you a mum mum.
Take a bite with your left hand
Switch hands and yell "This is awesome mommy!" (wonder why mommy is looking at you like she has no clue what you just said)
Take a bite with your right hand.
When you are finished give mommy a big goofy grin letting her know how much you loved your mum mum. This way you are guaranteed to get one tomorrow!

Doctor's Appointment
Last night I called and made a doctor's appointment for Keenan because over the last two weeks his eczema has flared up horribly. She confirmed it was pretty bad and gave us a prescription along with some other advice. He had a weight check and height check there and I'm still in shock. Big boy is 17 lbs 10 oz!!!! Holy crap. He's 27 inches.

Happy 6 months Keenan!

Wow I can't believe my little baby is 6 months old already! Keenan has really had quite a personality change over the last month. He still fusses but not nearly as much. He smiles and coos a lot and he laughs at us. We love it! He is pushing 17 lbs now. I'm not really sure about his length because he doesn't have a doctor's appointment until 7 months old. He is finally rolling from back to belly but still not from belly to back. He can sit for about 20 seconds before toppling over. He is really taking his time with reaching milestones. I don't mind though because I'm trying to just enjoy my non-mobile baby before I spend years chasing him down!
Keenan is babbling momma, dada, baba, nana. He of course has no clue what he's saying. Cayden said her first word (that she meant) at 7 months old and I'm pretty sure he's not far behind. Lately I hold him and I repeat words to him like momma, or dada and he his little mouth stats moving, mimicking my mouth movements but no sound comes out. It is absolutely hilarious. He just stares so intently at my face watching my mouth move to what I'm saying and his little mouth goes. I really have to get that on video because it is too funny not to show everyone!
Keenan will have his Christening on May 20th finally! He'll probably be the oldest baby there. We delayed it in hopes we could have a HUGE party for him like we did with Cayden but it seems the finances really won't be there now so we are just going to have close family.

Sickness and baby food.
Interesting title huh? Keenan has his first bad cold. He's had it for 3 days now but it's pretty bad. He has a really nasty cough and sometimes when he starts a coughing fit he has a hard time stopping. He's congested and just extra sleepy and loving. He passed out on Eric twice today. It's so sad. I hope he feels better soon.
So I've decided to start making some of Keenan's baby food myself. I'm usually a Gerber or Beechnut jar food gal. It's convenient and there are plenty of varieties. When we were on vacation they pureed Keenan's food every night and he really seemed to just love it that way (he likes his jar just fine). Recently we got a new blender that has a "baby food" button on it so I decided to give it a whirl. I'm going to make foods that you can't buy in a jar.
Today I went grocery shopping and picked up a bunch of stuff. We tried avocado out for lunch. I made it a tad too watery so I added a bit of banana to thicken it up. Keenan went wild. He loved it so much! Everything tastes so bland because it's fresh and obvious no added ingredients except for a little bit of water but Keenan doesn't seem to mind. I also have eggplant, brussel sprouts, and mango to puree! Woohoo. It sounds silly but it's actually so much fun to make it myself. Mostly because they don't sell eggplant, brussel sprouts or asparagus in a jar! I can't wait to see Keenan's face when he tries those foods out.

If the name fits.......
Lately I've been calling Keenan Mommy's little fat boy or chuba love. Is it any wonder why? Look at this boy!

Cruise slideshow!
Most of the pictures are from St. Thomas and St. Maarten. It's funny how when you have kids you forget to take pictures of the actual scenery because you are too busy making sure you capture every moment for them!

WE ARE HOME!
We got home about 8pm last night. Wow! I'm so tired still this morning. Overall our trip was good. I have to say though that I will never cruise with Carnival again. In my opinion it does not compare to Royal Caribbean and Eric and I found ourselves constantly disappointed from the shows (that were so horrible we walked out of one and my mom fell asleep during another!), to the dinner menu (no desserts that were that great), to the decor. It was just not that great. The one thing I did love is that they had self serve laundry. With a baby that spits up all the time that really helped and also we packed pretty light for the week and I just did three loads of laundry along the way. But I think we are going to be Royal Caribbean cruisers and that's it!
The kids were great. Cayden had maybe 3 meltdowns the whole week and I was surprised about that because she was sooo tired with all the sun/beaches/swimming and short naps. She did go into the "Camp Carnival" kids group 2-5yrs 3 nights from 8-10pm so that was awesome for us! Keenan was the biggest shock of all. The flight there he didn't make a peep. He slept on me the whole time. The first 4 days of the cruise he was like this whole different child we never met before. He never fussed. He was happy and LOVED being outside so much. He slept on chairs at the beach and was just so happy. It was strange. The last 2.5 days he was back to his old tricks. He was whining up a storm and freaking out unless you took him outside. Apparently he loves being outside. Eric spent so much time walking him out on the decks of the ship. Dinner every night was hard. It was his fussy time at night so many nights Eric or I left dinner for a bit and walked around with him until he was quiet. That part was a bit frustrating. Overall he was great. But this morning he has been a pill. I guess he hates our house. It doesn't help that he has been having a killer time teething.
I'll post pictures later when I upload them and figure out how to do a slide show. I didn't really take as many pictures as I usually do and none of the islands - just pics of the kids.
